The 24-year-old player, who previously played for German side Hamburg (2020-2021), French side Lille (2021-2022), and English side Everton (2022-2024), will undergo rehabilitation under the supervision of Aston Villa's medical staff. Onana suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear 20 minutes into his country's match against the United States in the round of 16 of the World Cup.
