(CNN)-- Saudi club Al-Hilal announced on its account on the "X" platform on Tuesday the success of the surgical operation that player Salem Al-Dawsari underwent in Finland on his knee tendon injury site.

The "Blue Al-Hilal" team said that Al-Dawsari will begin his treatment and rehabilitation program at a specialized medical center under the supervision of the team's medical staff.

The club, active in the "Roshn" league, had previously revealed that Al-Dawsari would be absent from the field for a period between 6 to 8 weeks after undergoing the surgery.

The player will be absent from the Al-Hilal squad during the first rounds of the Saudi Professional League, which will start on August 13 next.

Al-Dawsari (34 years old) had recently concluded his participation in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with the Saudi national team, appearing in 3 matches but failing to score or assist.
