The Saudi Football Federation announced a mechanism to regulate the work of technical staff in clubs for the 2026-2027 sports season, aiming to develop the technical work environment, raise the level of organization, and ensure the application of best practices in managing coaching staff.

The Federation explained that the procedures for accrediting technical staff will be carried out by uploading the technical staff data through the 'MySAFF' platform, and applications will be studied and checked for compliance with the required standards before issuing a professional practice card and accrediting the technical staff to participate in competitions.

The Federation stressed that the new regulation aims to organize the work of technical staff, empower national cadres, and ensure the presence of Saudi coaches within the technical staff, in addition to regulating the issuance of professional practice cards and automating registration procedures through the electronic system.

The new controls included emphasizing that no coach is entitled to practice without obtaining a professional practice card, with the card validity limited to only one sports season.

The controls also included not allowing a non-Saudi coach to train two teams during one sports season, with a requirement to have a Saudi assistant coach, while allowing the addition of another assistant coach within the technical staff.

The Federation pointed out that technical staff in the third and fourth divisions must include a coach and an assistant coach entirely of Saudi nationality, as part of supporting and developing national competencies in the coaching field.
