Saudi U-17 Girls' Team Suffers Second Loss to Lebanon in West Asian Championship
The Saudi U-17 women's national team lost to its Lebanese counterpart 2-0 on Sunday in the second round of the group stage of the sixth West Asian Football Federation U-17 Girls' Championship, hosted by the Jordan Football Association from July 17 to 22, 2026, at Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa.
This is the second defeat for the Saudi team in the tournament, having started its campaign with a similar loss to Syria 1-0, with the goal scored by Masa Mina in the 66th minute.
Regarding the final round of the first group stage, Tuesday will see matches between Lebanon and Syria on one hand, and Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on the other, while the group stage matches conclude on Wednesday with the match between Jordan and Bahrain.
