Jürgen Klopp, head of global football at Red Bull, has agreed to take charge of the German national team in the upcoming period.

These developments come after former coach Julian Nagelsmann was sternly told to resign or face immediate dismissal, following the surprising defeat of the German national team on penalties against Paraguay in the Round of 32 of the World Cup.

Nagelsmann has already officially announced his departure from the German national team last Friday.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X account: 'Breaking: Jürgen Klopp becomes new head coach of Germany.. It's done.'

He added: 'Klopp agreed to take on the task; details of the long-term contract, the project, and the exit from the Red Bull group are still under discussion, but he will be the new manager.. Jürgen is back to coaching.'

He concluded: 'Red Bull considered Oliver Glasner as a replacement for Klopp, but he signed with Nottingham Forest.'
