The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced the full list of individual awards for the 2026 World Cup, after it had previously revealed the winners of the main awards following the final match.

FIFA had awarded the Spanish Rodri the Golden Ball as the best player in the World Cup, while his compatriot Unai Simón was crowned with the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper, and young defender Pau Cubarsí won the Best Young Player award, while Frenchman Kylian Mbappé received the Golden Boot after finishing the tournament as top scorer with 10 goals.

With the publication of the full list of awards, FIFA announced that Lionel Messi, captain of the Argentine national team, had won the Silver Ball after leading his country to the final match and scoring eight goals during the tournament.

In contrast, the Bronze Ball went to French star Kylian Mbappé, who combined winning the Golden Boot and ranking third in the list of best World Cup players, after leading his country to fourth place.

The list of top scorers witnessed a striking paradox, as Messi won the Silver Boot with eight goals, while Englishman Jude Bellingham received the Bronze Boot despite being tied with Norwegian Erling Haaland with seven goals each.

Bellingham's superiority came according to FIFA's regulations for the top scorer award, which stipulate resorting to the number of assists when players are tied in goals scored, as the English star made one assist during the tournament, compared to Haaland making none, allowing the Real Madrid player to secure third place in the scorers' ranking without needing to resort to the criterion of minutes played.

In terms of fair play, the Netherlands national team won the Fair Play award, in appreciation of its disciplinary behavior throughout its journey in the tournament, which it exited in the second round at the hands of Morocco.
