FIFA's latest international football rankings place the Moroccan national team sixth in the world, while "La Roja," the Spanish national team, has returned to the top of the global rankings after their 2026 World Cup triumph.

The Argentine national team took second place, while France and England remained in third and fourth place respectively, despite Thomas Tuchel's side defeating the French team to claim the bronze medal.

Brazil rose to fifth place, while Morocco climbed to sixth—its highest ranking ever. Portugal dropped two spots to seventh following their Round of 16 exit in the World Cup. Belgium moved up to eighth, swapping places with the Netherlands, who fell to ninth.

Mexico climbed four spots to enter the top ten, while Norway made the biggest leap in the rankings, advancing 12 places to 19th after reaching the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Germany fell out of the top ten, dropping to 12th, one spot ahead of Croatia. Italy, having failed to qualify for the World Cup, slipped to 15th.

Tunisia experienced the sharpest decline in the rankings, falling 12 spots to 57th. Meanwhile, Egypt moved up five places to 24th, and Paraguay climbed seven spots to 34th globally after both teams reached the Round of 16 in the World Cup. The Saudi national team ranked 58th, placing fifth among Arab nations.

Cape Verde, which reached the Round of 32, moved up three places to 64th, sitting one spot ahead of Ghana, which climbed eight places.
