Over the past two seasons, Sommer played for Inter, winning the Serie A title twice with the club, and also reached the Champions League final in 2025 before losing the title to French side Paris Saint-Germain. Sommer will play in the Champions League with Club Brugge and will replace Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who announced his retirement from football.
