Sources: 4 Barcelona Stars Reject Julian Alvarez Deal
تتضارب التقارير في نادي برشلونة بشأن التعاقد مع المهاجم جوليان ألفاريز بقيمة 150 مليون يورو، وسط معارضة 4 لاعبين وانقسام بين الإدارة والمدرب.
The debate continues over the potential transfer of Julian Alvarez, Atletico Madrid striker, to Barcelona.
The Catalan newspaper El Nacional indicated that there is a faction within the Catalan club that prefers to keep things as they are, and claimed that a number of Barcelona stars are not welcoming the deal to sign the Argentine striker.
This greatly contradicts the report from Catalan newspaper Sport in late June, which indicated that Barcelona players were happy about signing Julian Alvarez and that he would be a strong technical addition to the team.
However, El Nacional revealed that there are four players in the Barcelona squad who are not enthusiastic about this deal.
It explained that the first of these players is Ferran Torres, who sees himself capable of being the starting striker, and added that the Spanish striker feels undervalued, so he is considering moving to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
It noted that the list of opponents also includes the midfield duo Gavi and Pedri, who are close to Ferran Torres.
It mentioned that Brazilian Raphinha, the Barcelona star, tends to be satisfied with signing the duo Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, and that there is no need to spend 150 million euros to sign Julian Alvarez.
The newspaper's report noted that Raphinha's opinion also aligns with the direction of the club's sporting director Deco and team coach Hansi Flick regarding the need to move toward less expensive signings.
It concluded its report by stating that Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, does not see it that way, but rather considers the Julian Alvarez deal a top priority.
