Rafael Louzán, president of the Spanish Football Federation, affirmed that his country deserves to host the 2030 World Cup final, stressing that Spain leads the bid with a 55% share in a joint candidacy involving 6 countries across 3 continents.

In remarks to the newspaper 'As' from New York, Louzán said: 'I have no doubt that there is absolutely no justification for not choosing Spain to host the centenary World Cup final, and we will work to achieve that to offer the best World Cup in history.'

The Spanish federation chief praised the resounding success achieved by his country's national team in the ongoing World Cup in the United States, affirming that 'La Roja' is experiencing its happiest moments in decades and has made a qualitative leap in strengthening the relationship between Spain, football, and the Spanish brand globally.

Louzán noted that the team steadily improved its performance until it reached the near-perfect match against France in the semifinals, praising coach Luis de la Fuente, whom he described as 'a professional and a wonderful person who reads every match well and knows how to arrange things.'

He revealed that De la Fuente's contract extends until the 2030 World Cup, saying: 'We have another date with history in 2030, and I would like Luis to be part of that moment. I am proud of the way he helped us reach a good agreement with him.'

Regarding the upcoming final against Argentina led by Lionel Messi, Louzán said: 'We have great confidence in securing the match. We owe Argentina praise and respect, and we thank Messi and Ronaldo for the great legacy they have left for Spanish football.'
