Retired German star Toni Kroos has revealed his predictions for the 2026 World Cup final, which will see defending champions Argentina face Spain on Sunday evening in the United States.

The former German midfielder believes Spain will enter Sunday's World Cup final against Argentina as favorites, provided they deliver the same level of performance that carried them through the tournament.

Speaking on his podcast "Kroos & Kroos: World Cup Under the Microscope" on TikTok, which he hosts with his brother Felix, the former Real Madrid star and 2014 World Cup winner praised Spain's ability to control matches once they take charge of the game.

He said: "If they put in that performance again in the final, they will be the clear favorites and they will win the match."

Kroos warned the Argentine national team about Spain's ability to manage matches when leading, explaining: "If a team like Spain can play while ahead, you don't want to face them."

His brother, Felix Kroos, highlighted the stark contrast in personalities of the finalists, saying: "We have a very emotional team, with tears in their eyes (from passion) and foam coming out of their mouths, that's Argentina, and in contrast, there are the Spaniards with their objective perfectionism."

Despite his support for Spain, Toni Kroos warned that Argentina still poses a major threat, adding: "If you give them even a small space, Argentina will exploit every gap that appears."

He added that the first goal could be key to victory, saying: "If Spain scores first, it's over. After that, they could score three or four more goals."

Spain and defending champions Argentina meet in the 2026 World Cup final on Sunday, with coach Luis de la Fuente's team seeking their second world title, while Argentina aims to successfully defend the trophy they won in 2022.
