Argentinian winger Alejandro Garnacho completed his loan move from Chelsea on Thursday, in a deal that includes a purchase option that could become mandatory upon meeting certain conditions.

According to French newspaper L'Équipe, Aston Villa have taken the former Manchester United player on loan with a €50 million purchase option, which will be triggered after the 22-year-old plays a specified number of matches.

If the clause is activated, Garnacho will sign a four-year contract with Aston Villa.

Garnacho came through the ranks at Manchester United, making his first-team debut in 2022, before moving to Chelsea in the summer of 2025, after Aston Villa had also been interested in signing him at that time.

The Argentine winger played 43 matches for Chelsea, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists, but he was unable to fully establish himself at Stamford Bridge.

Garnacho's arrival is set to bolster Aston Villa's attack, and he is expected to be a strong addition to the team, especially after Swiss midfielder Johann Manzambi replaced Morgan Rogers, who moved to Chelsea in a record deal.
