Chelsea FC, of the English Premier League, announced on Thursday the signing of young player Harrison Bettoni on a contract until 2030.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who can also play as a forward, moved to the London club from English side Wigan Athletic after the two clubs agreed on a transfer fee.

Bettoni is a product of Wigan's academy and made his first-team debut in the third tier of English football last season against AFC Wimbledon, scoring two goals in that match.

He also scored goals against Burton and Preston, ending the season with 27 first-team appearances, according to the UK's PA Media news agency.
