(CNN)—UAE businessman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor has announced he will gift a Mitsubishi car to every member of Egypt's national team delegation for the 2026 World Cup, in recognition of the team's 'honorable' performance.

In a statement posted on his X platform (formerly Twitter) account, the UAE businessman said: 'Under the directives of the founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group, Mr. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the group contacted the Egyptian Football Association and agreed to provide a Mitsubishi car to every member of the Egyptian national team delegation, in appreciation of the honorable performance the team delivered in the World Cup, which delighted millions, raised Egypt's name high, and brought joy to all Arabs.'

He added: 'The initiative includes all members of the delegation, from players to technical, administrative, and medical staff, in recognition of their efforts and belief that success is the fruit of teamwork.'

Al Habtoor emphasized in his statement that 'what the Egyptian national team achieved is not just an achievement for Egypt alone, but a source of pride for every Arab, and that Egypt's joy today is the joy of every Arab. What this team has done deserves all appreciation, and it is our duty to celebrate those who raise the Arab flag high in international forums. I wish them continued success and achievements befitting Egypt's name and status.'

He continued: 'This gift is an expression of our love and appreciation for Egypt's heroes who honored their nation, made their fans happy, and taught every Arab a lesson in determination, persistence, and fighting spirit. You have proven that faith, teamwork, and fighting until the final whistle are values that create achievements. The future is ahead of you, and what you have shown in this World Cup confirms that Egyptian football is capable of achieving more successes.'
