Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza has officially announced his candidacy for the presidency of the board of directors of the Saudi Football Federation, affirming that his decision stems from his desire to contribute to continuing the development journey witnessed by Saudi sports and to keep pace with the current stage of football in the Kingdom.

Al-Raziza explained via his account on platform 'X' that the rapid growth witnessed by Saudi sports, with the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the follow-up of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, imposes a shared responsibility requiring institutional work and a clear vision, noting that his experience within the sports system and his knowledge of the requirements of the stage prompted him to make the candidacy decision.

Al-Raziza's announcement came days after the board of directors of Al-Qadsiah Club Company approved his resignation from the presidency of the club at his request, ending a period that witnessed one of the most prominent stages of transformation in Al-Qadsiah's history. During his presidency, Al-Raziza returned the team to the Saudi Roshn League after winning the Yelo League title in the 2023-2024 season, before leading it to fourth place in the Roshn League with 77 points, securing its first-ever qualification for the AFC Champions League Elite. The team also reached the final of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
