Moroccan press reports have settled the debate over the future of Youssef En-Nesyri, Al-Ittihad's striker, after rumors linked him with a return to the Moroccan league during the current summer transfer window.

The Moroccan site 'Lusit Info Sport' confirmed in a report on Tuesday that the rumors about En-Nesyri nearing a move to Maghreb Fez to replace striker Sofiane Benjdida are untrue, stressing that the deal is not on the table at the moment.

The report explained that the financial obstacle prevents any negotiations, as En-Nesyri receives a salary that exceeds Maghreb Fez's capabilities, in addition to his contract with Al-Ittihad running until the summer of 2028. The Moroccan international joined Al-Ittihad last January from Turkish club Fenerbahçe, and there are no indications of his departure during the current transfer window.

In contrast, Maghreb Fez is seeking to replace the departure of its top scorer Sofiane Benjdida, who moved to Egypt's Al Ahly on a three-season contract, becoming the club's third summer signing after Ali Mahmoud and Oktay Abdullah.

Benjdida had a standout season with Maghreb Fez, scoring 20 goals and providing 2 assists in 31 matches, finishing as the team's top scorer, before embarking on a new experience with Al Ahly.

The Moroccan striker also had professional experiences in Belgium with Standard Liège and RWD Molenbeek, in addition to representing Raja Casablanca at various youth levels and the first team, before moving to Maghreb Fez.
