Meanwhile, England received the third-place prize of $29 million after an exciting 6-4 victory over France, which earned $27 million as the fourth-place prize.
Teams finishing in fifth to eighth place received $19 million each, those in ninth to 16th place received $15 million each, positions 17 to 32 received $11 million each, and positions 33 to 48 received $9 million each.
