Science and Technology / 'Monsha'at' Concludes 'Education and Assessment Technologies Hackathon' to Develop Innovative Educational Solutions
Riyadh, Muharram 22, 1448 AH corresponding to July 7, 2026, SPA – The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) celebrated the conclusion of the 'Education and Assessment Technologies Hackathon' at the Enterprise Support Center in Riyadh, in partnership with the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, the National Center for E-Learning, and the Education Development Holding Company; with the aim of developing advanced educational solutions, enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship in this field, in addition to supporting investment in it and reaching markets. The hackathon was organized to enable entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises to present innovative technical solutions in the field of artificial intelligence for the education sector, and also gives participants the opportunity to transform their ideas into prototypes that are applicable and commercially viable, meeting the needs of the educational sector and contributing to the development of its outputs. The hackathon saw 197 participants from school and university students, teachers and experts in the education sector, and entrepreneurs, in addition to small and medium enterprises in the educational technologies sector, and competition among 35 projects within various tracks including the digital teacher, assessment and analysis tools, school management solutions, language teaching, enabling full access for people with disabilities, simulation-based education, in addition to smart monitoring. The closing ceremony included a showcase of the most prominent graduating projects, and honoring partners and winners, where the list of participating projects included an integrated system that combines artificial intelligence and robotics to enable blind people to interact with the educational process independently, and a platform for creating customized video games for students in line with curricula. The list also included a platform that provides more than 12,000 interactive lessons aligned with the national curriculum to provide immediate academic support, and a platform dedicated to correcting tests and analyzing their results and converting them into actionable and follow-up support decisions, in addition to the first Arabic-language Learning Management System (LMS) platform that is customizable to serve the blind and special education categories and support their integration into schools. Monsha'at seeks to provide supportive programs for emerging technology companies and the education and assessment sector, contributing to enabling male and female entrepreneurs to grow and sustain, and supporting the national economy to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. // End // 08:18 AM 0036
