The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), hosted by Turkey in October, set a record by receiving more than 3,000 confirmed registration requests during the early registration period.

According to information obtained by Anadolu from the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, the congress will be held in Antalya between October 5 and 9, with participation from global space sector leaders, astronauts, scientists, and representatives of companies and institutions operating in the field.

The event is an important international platform to showcase Turkey's vision in space diplomacy and the national space program on the global stage.

The congress is planned to be organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, hosted by the Turkish Space Agency and the SAHA Istanbul cluster at the Antalya Nest Congress Center.

More than 10,000 participants including experts, researchers, students, and space sector representatives are expected to attend. The congress will feature the latest developments in space research and technologies, scientific papers, business partnerships, and strengthening the presence of Turkey's space ecosystem internationally.

Registration requests came from 83 countries, with Turkey topping the list with 438 requests, reflecting the growing interest in the country's space sector. Following Turkey were Italy, the United States, Germany, Japan, China, and the United Kingdom.
