Washington, July 11 (QNA) - The American space exploration technology company SpaceX launched 24 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance and expand the global satellite internet network.
The company said that the Falcon 9 rocket launched from the company's Vandenberg Space Force Base, carrying the satellites to their designated orbit, and the first stage of the rocket successfully returned to Earth about 8 minutes after launch, landing on an unmanned drone ship of the company stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
This launch and successful landing is the 35th for this specific booster, designated B1071, and this achievement is part of a total of 657 missions that the company has carried out for this type of rocket since 2010.
This mission raises the total number of active Starlink network satellites to more than 10,700, directly contributing to expanding the scope and coverage of high-speed internet services and meeting the growing global demand for space communications.
