Expectations of Major Changes in Galaxy S27 Ultra
New leaks indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature four major changes that will transform the user experience and reshape the company's flagship lineup.
The most notable changes according to sources:
Camera: Samsung is expected to drop the 3x telephoto lens on the S27 Ultra, relying entirely on the 5x telephoto lens that has proven effective in recent models. This move will give the company more freedom in developing imaging solutions while maintaining advanced zoom capabilities.
Battery: Information suggests that the battery capacity will exceed the 5000 mAh mark for the first time in the Galaxy S series, as Samsung uses the space freed up by the camera redesign to add a larger battery that enhances device longevity.
Design: The device will see a change in the camera lens arrangement, with them being aligned horizontally on the back of the phone – similar to what Pixel phones have introduced – which reduces wobble when the device is placed on a flat surface.
Charging: As a result of the design change, the S27 Ultra is expected to finally support the latest Qi2 wireless charging standard, a long-awaited feature in Samsung's flagship phones.
The Galaxy S27 series is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2027 and will include a new Pro model alongside the usual editions.

The leaks also confirm that the Ultra version will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, with improved camera solutions that boost overall performance without changing the base resolution.
These improvements come amid increasing competition in the smartphone market, and Samsung aims through them to deliver an exceptional experience to its global audience.
