Honor tests 200MP OVB0D sensor for camera of its upcoming flagship phones

Honor has started testing the flagship OVB0D camera sensor with 200 megapixels in its internal labs for use in future flagship phones, according to leaks from DigitalChatStation.
The sensor is currently being evaluated for use in the upcoming Honor Magic 9 series or possibly other high-end phones, with indications that it is one of the most powerful main imaging solutions available to date.
The OVB0D sensor, developed with a 22nm manufacturing process, features a large size (1/1.1 inch) that allows more light absorption and better performance in low-light conditions with a natural depth of field.
It uses second-generation Dual Conversion Gain technology alongside advanced LOFIC capacitors to control high-contrast lighting in scenes, along with multi-frame image processing techniques to reduce shadow issues and noise.
New leak reveals camera details of Honor ROBOT PHONE with 200MP sensor
The sensor offers an electron capacity of up to 400,000 electrons to perfectly record light and shadow details without losing image elements in extremely bright environments, and uses Bayer color array for accurate color processing.
Leaks also indicate that Honor has started testing a new generation of telephoto lenses, with expectations that the Magic 9 series will include some of these imaging technologies when it launches in October.
