Instagram has enabled its users to replace music in feed posts and carousel posts after publishing, through a new tool called 'Replace Audio,' eliminating the need to delete and repost to change the audio track.

While preserving all post data

The platform explained that the new feature allows replacing music at any time while preserving all post data, including likes, comments, shares, and reach, emphasizing that the step is part of its efforts to provide tools that give creators and brands more flexibility and control over content management.

Users can use the feature by opening the desired post, tapping the options menu in the top corner, and selecting 'Edit,' where the 'Replace Audio' option appears to change the music track without affecting post performance, allowing content updates to align with trends or reflect new musical preferences.

The feature launch comes after Instagram faced criticism over some features that were not widely accepted among users, including the removal of the AI image editing tool for public accounts after it failed to achieve desired results, as well as the 'Instants' feature launched in May, which caused some users to accidentally share photos with friend lists due to misunderstanding of how it works.
