Iran: Unveiling of First Radar Satellite Soon
Iran's Deputy Minister of Communications and Head of the Iranian Space Organization, Hassan Salarieh, announced that the first Iranian radar satellite will be unveiled soon.
According to the Fars news agency, he emphasized that the country's space sector is witnessing significant progress on three main axes: first, developing infrastructure; second, developing satellites; and third, data and image services.
The Iranian deputy minister added that in the infrastructure field, many projects are being implemented, including the development of satellite control centers, launch sites, specialized laboratories, and satellite assembly and testing centers.
Salarieh also announced plans to establish a network of satellite control centers across the country, saying: 'The distribution of these centers will help reduce the time needed to establish communication with satellites, shorten the orbital testing process, and increase satellite operation time.'
The head of the Iranian Space Organization noted that using satellite images and analyzing them with artificial intelligence will double the economic value of space data and will play an effective role in fields such as agriculture, water resource management, environment, land monitoring, crisis management, and increasing productivity.
He said that communication satellites designed and built by local experts at the Iranian Space Research Institute, affiliated with the Ministry of Communications, will provide a large part of the country's communication infrastructure, either directly or as support, after being placed in orbit.
The head of the Iranian Space Organization continued: 'Space exploration development projects, biological capsules, and international cooperation are among other programs being pursued seriously.' In this regard, cooperation with countries such as China and participation in the Chang'e project are among the priorities, and this cooperation will continue strongly.
Discuss the news with artificial intelligence.
