Meta Launches AI Model 'Miuz Spark 1.1'
Meta Platforms on Thursday launched a long-awaited developer access feature to its AI model 'Miuz Spark' along with an upgraded version, directly positioning it against business models from Anthropic and OpenAI in charging fees for the use of their AI tools.
Meta promoted 'Miuz Spark 1.1' as its most efficient model for real-world programming and automated tasks, part of a broader mission the company advertises as delivering 'super intelligence for personal use.'
Meta said the upgraded model features writing and debugging code, using external software and tools, understanding text, images, and videos, as well as performing complex multi-step tasks that require less human intervention.
Meta unveiled Miuz Spark in April, its first text and reasoning AI model from the super intelligence team it formed last year to close the competitive gap in the fierce race for AI dominance.
Meta tested the API with partners in a private preview during the launch. The API is an indispensable component of AI systems, serving as a digital bridge for developers enabling them to leverage the model's capabilities in their own software systems.
