Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, during a series of official meetings in the Republic of South Korea, discussed expanding Saudi-Korean cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and government services, alongside supporting Saudi scholarship students and enhancing their role in knowledge transfer and national capacity building.

Alswaha met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science, Information and Communications Technology of the Republic of Korea, Bae Kyung-hoon, and they discussed opportunities to develop partnerships in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, research and innovation, supporting the building of a competitive digital economy and enhancing the Kingdom's position as a global center for artificial intelligence.

He also met with Korean Minister of the Interior and Safety, Yoon Ho-jung, and they discussed cooperation in unified government platforms, digital identity, and employing artificial intelligence to improve services, in addition to strengthening the partnership between the Digital Government Authority and the Korean ministry.

On another note, Alswaha met with Saudi male and female scholarship students in South Korea, and discussed their aspirations and academic paths, and their role in knowledge transfer and national capacity building in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
