Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha, accompanied by Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali, held a series of meetings in South Korea with a number of ministers and leaders of investment and technology companies, to enhance the Saudi-Korean partnership and expand horizons of cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital economy, technology investment, and digital government services.

Minister Alswaha met with Korean Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science, ICT and Communications Mr. Bae Kyung-hoon. The meeting discussed enhancing bilateral partnership in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and digital infrastructure, to support building a competitive digital economy and cement the Kingdom's position as a global hub for artificial intelligence.

The Minister also met with Korean Minister of the Interior and Safety Mr. Youn Ho-jong. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in developing unified government platforms, digital identity, and employing artificial intelligence to improve government services, in addition to strengthening the partnership between the Saudi Digital Government Authority and its Korean counterpart.

On the private sector level, the Minister held a meeting with the founder and CEO of APL Ventures Mr. Albert Lee. They discussed investment and partnership opportunities with Saudi entrepreneurial companies, supporting their growth and global expansion, and exploring investment opportunities in the Saudi market to enhance integration of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem between the Kingdom and international markets.

These meetings come within the framework of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to expand its international partnerships with governments, technology companies, and investors, attract quality investments, and support the transition to a digital economy based on artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
