The Digital Entrepreneurship Center "Code" under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in partnership with Savvy Games Group and Excel by Mirak, launched the "Code Nine 66" program to empower entrepreneurs and national talents to develop innovative electronic games and build promising startups in the gaming sector, supporting the transition to the smart age. The program’s journey begins with the Game Jam event, spanning three months, bringing together creators, developers, designers, and entrepreneurs in a competitive and stimulating environment to form teams, develop game ideas, and build playable prototypes. At the end of the event, the top 10 teams qualify for a specialized incubator to develop prototypes, test market feasibility, and enhance commercial readiness. Code Nine 66 focuses on key tracks including game programming, game art, game design, and game marketing, providing participants with an integrated support system that includes specialized mentoring, workshops, a game testing day, and skills development for pitching to investors and publishers, with the participation of over 12 experts and mentors in the gaming and entrepreneurship industries.
The Ministry called on ambitious entrepreneurs and national talents to register for the program by visiting the Code website: https://code.mcit.gov.sa/ar/node/189028.
