Less than a month and a half after updating the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Galaxy Tab A11 to the One UI 8.5 interface (based on Android 16 QPR2), Samsung has begun work on a new update carrying its latest One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, for the two tablets.

New firmware files have been spotted on Samsung's servers for the two devices with build numbers X406BXXU5DZG1 and X135FXXU4CZG1, indicating that testing of the new system has already begun on them.

This step is a clear indicator that the One UI 9.0 update for tablets is approaching, especially with the recent arrival of the new system on Galaxy S26 phones.

Samsung is expected to announce the stable version of One UI 9.0 alongside the new generation of its foldable phones later this month, with the update beginning to roll out to other devices, such as the Tab S10 Lite and Tab A11, shortly after.

One UI 8.5 update is available globally for the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite

The new update brings advanced features, broader customization options, and Android 17 advantages, which will enhance the user experience on the latest Samsung tablets.
