Samsung begins rolling out July security update for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6
Samsung has released new software updates for the 2024 Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, beginning to provide the security package for July 2026.
The new update addresses 57 security vulnerabilities that appeared in previous versions.
The rollout includes markets in Africa, Asia, and Europe. The new Z Fold 6 update carries build number F956BXXS4DZF1, while the Z Flip 6 gets build F741BXXS4DZF1.
When the update is available for your phone, you will receive an automatic notification to download and install it directly.
If the notification does not arrive, you can manually check for its availability by going to Settings, then Software Update, and selecting Check for Update.
It is expected that both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will soon receive a major update bringing One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 with new customization options and enhanced productivity features, following the launch of the next generation of Samsung foldable phones in the coming weeks.
