Sharjah, November 1 / WAM / The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, in cooperation with the Sharjah City Municipality, launched a new proactive service to issue a clearance certificate and close the account without the need to submit a request or other documents to the authority. When the subscriber receives a no-objection notice for vacating the property from the municipality, an electronic request is immediately activated in the authority's system to issue a clearance certificate from the authority, after which the security deposit is deposited into the customer's bank account as soon as the authority is provided with the International Bank Account Number (IBAN).
Hussein Al-Askar, Director of the Customer Service Department at the authority, explained that the launch of this proactive service comes within the framework of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding the integration of institutional work and within the authority's strategy in the field of digital transformation and providing the best services to customers.
He pointed out that this service will simplify procedures, save time and effort for customers, enhance confidence in effective government services, contribute to raising customer satisfaction rates, and attract investors to work in Sharjah. As soon as the customer obtains a no-objection notice for vacating the property from the municipality, the procedures for closing the subscriber's account begin without submitting a request or any other documents, contributing to the speedy completion of the transaction.
