The UK's cybersecurity official sent an email to all security agencies advising them against using Kaspersky software to protect devices.

The official, Ciaran Martin, said that using this software would grant foreign security agencies the ability to spy on UK security devices and launch cyber attacks against them.

Martin called on computers containing national security data to refrain from using the software, which is developed by a Russian company backed by government entities there, due to the potential for spying on user data.

The company has previously been accused of placing its software under the control of Russian security agencies, which spied on security agencies in America and occupied Palestine as well. Based on the above, Kaspersky decided to provide its source code for those wishing to review it and understand the program's operation. It is also now working with the UK's cybersecurity agency to establish a protocol that ensures everyone that the software operates without issues or threats of this kind.
