Watch the moment the 'Tate' brothers are arrested in America after accusations including rape and human trafficking
The U.S. Marshals Service arrested social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami, Florida, based on an extradition request from the United Kingdom, following an investigation into sexual offenses reported by seven victims, according to the British Crown Prosecution Service.
British officials have charged the brothers with assaulting women in the East of England between 2010 and 2017. Andrew Tate faces 42 charges, including rape, human trafficking, possession of child pornography, and sexual assault, according to the British Crown Prosecution Service and Bedfordshire Police, while Tristan Tate faces 17 charges, including sexual assault, rape, and human trafficking.
The brothers are scheduled to appear before a federal court in Miami next week, according to a law enforcement source. Their lawyer has said they are innocent and criticized the UK's efforts to extradite them.
