Weather Update: High Temperatures in Eastern Region, Rain in 4 Areas
The National Center for Meteorology expects in its report on today's Monday weather across the Kingdom's regions that maximum temperatures will continue to rise in parts of the Eastern Region. Meanwhile, the chance remains for thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, as well as the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region. The impact of active winds stirring up dust and sand continues in parts of Makkah and Madinah regions.
Red Sea
Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly at 18-38 km/h in the northern and central parts, reaching 45 km/h towards the Gulf of Aqaba, and northerly to northwesterly at 10-30 km/h, increasing to over 50 km/h with rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.

Wave height: Half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching over two meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.
Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming rough with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.
Arabian Gulf
Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly at 15-32 km/h in the northern and central parts, and westerly to southwesterly at 10-25 km/h in the southern part.
Wave height: Half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and half a meter to one meter in the southern part.
Sea state: Light to moderate waves in the northern and central parts, and light waves in the southern part.
Eastern Region Weather
The National Center for Meteorology warned in its weather report of a heat wave and active winds in parts of the Eastern Region on Monday. The heat wave starts at 11 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. The warning includes: Jubail, Al Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Ahsa, Al Udayd, Buqayq, Khafji, Nairiyah, and Qaryat al-Ulya. The associated effects are high temperatures (49–50°C). Hafr Al-Batin, Khafji, Nairiyah, and Qaryat al-Ulya will experience active winds from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The associated effects include: reduced horizontal visibility, and winds reaching speeds of (40–49) km/h.
