Meteorology: Active Winds and Raised Dust Affect Hail, Mecca, and Najran Until Evening
The National Center for Meteorology warns of active winds and raised dust affecting several regions, reducing visibility.
The National Center for Meteorology has warned of the continued impact of active winds and raised dust today on several regions of the Kingdom, including the Hail region and Al-Jumum Governorate in the Mecca region, in addition to the city of Najran and several of its governorates and Sharurah Governorate, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility.
The center explained that the Hail region will experience active winds affecting open areas and highways, causing a decrease in horizontal visibility to between 3 and 5 kilometers, noting that the condition will continue until 8:00 PM.
In the Mecca region, the center warned of raised dust in Al-Jumum Governorate, accompanied by active winds and a decrease in horizontal visibility to between 3 and 5 kilometers, with the condition continuing until 9:00 PM.
The center also issued an alert regarding raised dust in Sharurah Governorate in the Najran region, leading to active winds and near-zero horizontal visibility ranging between 1 and 3 kilometers, until 3:00 PM.
In the Najran region, the condition includes the city of Najran and the governorates of Badr Al-Janoub, Thar, Hubuna, Khbash, and Yadamah, where active winds and raised dust cause a decrease in horizontal visibility between 3 and 5 kilometers, and continues until 6:00 PM.
