In a step that reflects institutional maturity and high professionalism in charitable work, Al-Wedad Charity Association signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with 'Awqaf Al-Wedad for Orphan Care', aiming to enhance financial sustainability and expand the range of quality services provided to orphaned children of unknown parentage in the Kingdom.

The agreement was signed by the acting CEO of Al-Wedad Association, Azzam Al-Ghamdi, and the CEO of the endowment, Engineer Mohammed Al-Sherif.

'Awqaf Al-Wedad for Orphan Care' was established on February 3, 2026, as a charitable endowment entity with independent financial status and its own governance framework, making it the sustainable investment arm of the association. This 18-month memorandum provides a flexible regulatory framework, where the association will support the endowment during its establishment phase through auxiliary services and financial resource development services, without any financial compensation to the association, in an integrative framework that boosts the endowment's launch.

Through its investment assets, the endowment aims to secure long-term financial resources to support the association's programs, with full commitment to the 'donor's condition' that restricts the disbursement of endowment revenues exclusively to Al-Wedad Charity Association, ensuring that support reaches those entitled and covers the increasing needs of beneficiaries.
