The National Center for Meteorology warned on Thursday of an intense heatwave affecting the Eastern Region, with temperatures expected to range between 49 and 50 degrees Celsius.

The center clarified that 'the wave includes the cities of Dammam and Dhahran, in addition to the governorates of Al-Khafji, Al-Nuayriyah, Qaryat al-Ulya, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Qatif, Al-Khobar, Abqaiq, Al-Midhainb, Dha'blootan, Al-Ahsa, and Al-Hajar and their affiliated centers.'
