The National Center of Meteorology expects continued moderate to heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and active winds, today Thursday, in parts of Jazan and Asir regions, extending to the southern parts of Al-Baha region, with chances of light rain in the southern parts of the Eastern Region.

The Center explained that active dust-raising winds will affect parts of the Eastern Region, extending to parts of Riyadh, Madinah, and Tabuk regions, as well as along the western coast from Jeddah to Jazan, while temperatures remain high in parts of Riyadh and Eastern Region, reaching a maximum of 46°C.

The Center indicated that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 20 to 45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to northerly at 15 to 35 km/h in the southern part, with gusts exceeding 50 km/h associated with thunderclouds, and wave height up to two meters.

It added that winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and easterly to northeasterly in the southern part at a speed of 10 to 30 km/h, with wave height ranging between half a meter and one and a half meters, and sea state from light to moderate waves.
