Up to 50°C... Warning of heatwave hitting the Eastern Region

The National Center of Meteorology issued a yellow and an orange alert regarding the weather in the Eastern Region, warning of a heatwave hitting several governorates.

The alerts covered the governorates of Jubail, Al Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al Nudud, Tha'blootn, Al Ahsa, Buqayq, Hafr Al Batin, Al Khafji, Al Nairyah, and Qaryat Al Ulya.

The center warned of a heatwave with temperatures ranging from 47 to 48 degrees Celsius, reaching 50 degrees Celsius in the governorates of Al Nudud and Tha'blootn.

The alert begins at 11:00 AM Friday until 5:00 PM the same day.
