Weather on Saturday: Thunderstorms, Active Winds and Hail in Some Areas...
The National Center for Meteorology expected in its report on today's weather - God willing - that the chance is still ripe for thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al Baha, which may extend to the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region, while the effect of active winds stirring up dust and sand continues in parts of those areas and parts of Tabuk, Al Madinah, Riyadh, and Najran, reaching zero or near-zero horizontal visibility in the northern parts of the Eastern Region, as well as on the coastal road leading to Jazan.
The report indicated that the movement of surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 20-40 km/h, with wave heights from one to two meters, and the sea state will be light to moderate waves.
In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 16-34 km/h, with wave heights from half a meter to one and a half meters, and the sea state will be light to moderate waves.
