Arab Condolences on Death of Former Qatar Emir

Arab condolence messages poured in over the death of former Qatar Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Sunday at the age of 74.
Condolences came in statements issued by leaders of Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, UAE and Somalia.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said in a statement that the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is 'a great loss for sisterly Qatar, Lebanon and the Arab world.'
He expressed his condolences to Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Qatari people.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam also offered 'warmest condolences to the State of Qatar, leadership and people, on the death of the Father Emir.'
In a post on the American platform X, he said: 'The deceased will remain present in the memory of all Lebanese for his political and humanitarian support to Lebanon in the most difficult circumstances, and for his efforts in serving stability in the country.'
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi also offered his condolences to Qatar, Emir, government and people, on the death of the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, expressing his sympathy in this affliction, according to the Middle East News Agency.
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi sent a condolence cable to Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressing his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Qatari leadership, government and people.
The media office of the Iraqi Prime Minister said in a statement that al-Zaidi prayed to God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy, and to inspire his family, relatives and the Qatari people with patience and consolation.
For his part, head of the Libyan Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, via the American platform X, expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
He offered sincere condolences to Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the State of Qatar and its people, asking God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy, and to inspire his family and the Qatari people with beautiful patience and consolation.
For his part, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said he offers 'sincere condolences and genuine sympathy to his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and to the brotherly Qatari people, on the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.'
From Sudan, Chairman of the Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan offered sincere condolences to the State of Qatar, leadership, government and people, on the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud offered 'sincerest condolences and most genuine feelings of sympathy to His Highness the Emir of Qatar, to the esteemed family of the deceased, and to the brotherly Qatari people,' asking God Almighty to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy, and to inspire his family and the Qatari people with beautiful patience and good consolation,' according to a statement from his office.
