The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its strong condemnation of the escalating settler terrorism and systematic crimes committed against Palestinian civilians, noting that they are carried out with direct support from the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The organization clarified that the towns of 'Tel' in Nablus governorate and 'Deir Jarir' in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate recently witnessed serious violations, in addition to the continued aggression on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in dozens of civilian casualties including martyrs and wounded.

It added that the attacks included destruction of Palestinian property, burning of agricultural lands and homes, and theft of livestock, amid an escalating pace of illegal settlement expansion in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem.

The organization warned of the serious consequences of this escalation, stressing that these practices constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

A Call for Accountability and Protection of Civilians

The organization's General Secretariat renewed its call on the international community and UN institutions, foremost the Security Council, to assume their legal and ethical responsibilities in providing international protection for the Palestinian people and holding the occupation and settlers accountable for organized crimes against unarmed civilians, in accordance with international criminal law.

The organization also called on all states to continue their efforts to dismantle the settlement system and its illegal entities in the occupied Palestinian territories.
