Qatar on Thursday denied the accuracy of Israeli media reports claiming it agreed to participate in military action against Iran, affirming that it has not and will not participate in any military action against neighboring countries.
The Qatar International Media Office (governmental) said in a statement: "The State of Qatar expresses its categorical rejection of the false reports published by Israeli media, in which they claimed that Qatar agreed to participate in military action against the Islamic Republic of Iran."
The office added that these allegations are promoted by "individuals seeking to drag the State of Qatar into the conflict, undermine its pivotal mediating role, and push the region toward further escalation and chaos."
It affirmed that Qatari officials have repeatedly stressed since the outbreak of the conflict that Qatar "has not and will not participate in any military action against any neighboring countries."
The office stressed that Doha will not allow what it described as "misleading allegations" to undermine its diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict.
It noted that Qatar will continue its efforts, in coordination with its regional and international partners, to reach a comprehensive and sustainable agreement that addresses the concerns of all parties concerned.
