Rescue operations concluded in Gansu province landslide, according to Chinese media

Beijing, July 08 (QNA) – Local authorities in Tanchang County, Gansu Province, northwest China, reported today the completion of rescue operations at the landslide site, which resulted in 21 deaths and seven injuries.

The authorities stated that the injured receiving treatment in local hospitals are in stable condition.

The landslide struck Rentang Village in Nanhe Town, Longnan City, on Tuesday morning, trapping 33 people, five of whom were rescued.

Following the disaster, authorities dispatched several rescue teams to the scene, including personnel from emergency services, fire departments, and police.

It is noteworthy that Chinese authorities have raised the flood warning level in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong Province, both in the south, to red, the highest alert level.
