US Vice President JD Vance announced the birth of his fourth child, saying he is in good health, and spoke of a 'great blessing' due to the presence of 'amazing doctors'.

Vance said in a post on X announcing the news: 'We are delighted to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neil Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are doing well and in good health, and our children are overjoyed to meet their little brother,' referring to the health condition of his wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, whose family is of Indian origin.

The US Vice President added: 'The amazing military doctors, the staff at Walter Reed Medical Center, and the White House Medical Unit have been a great blessing. We are extremely grateful for everything they have done for our family.'

Vance was blessed with his fourth child at the age of 41, while his wife Usha is 40 years old. Their three children (two boys and a girl) are all under the age of ten.

The US Vice President is known as a strong advocate for American families to have 'as many children as possible' and fiercely criticizes policies and legislation supporting abortion.

He had previously made a pledge to himself in 2025 to improve the financial conditions for families with children, but that promise has not yet come to fruition.
