Ukrainian drones launched an attack Wednesday on warehouses of the giant e-commerce company Wildberries in Russia, injuring 8 people, according to authorities, days after deadly attacks targeted the company over the weekend.

Wildberries Chairwoman Tatyana Kim said that the company's logistics centers in the cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk in southern Russia were evacuated.

Governor of the southern Stavropol region, Vladimir Vladimirov, explained via the Russian government platform 'Max' that 'a fire broke out in a warehouse complex following a drone attack on the outskirts of Nevinnomyssk.'

The drone attack system has become widespread among Ukrainian military units (AP).

He noted that 5 people received medical care, while the operations center in the Krasnodar region later said that 3 other people were injured when drone debris fell on the warehouse.

This is the latest attack since Ukraine targeted two large warehouses of the company on Saturday, killing 8 night-shift employees and sparking fires that almost destroyed the facilities.

More than 4 years after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, both sides have been escalating their strikes for several months, resulting in an increasing number of civilian casualties.
