Days after the US president threatened Iran with targeting power plants and bridges..
Ankara / Anatolia
Iran's official news agency (IRNA) reported that six bridges in the Hameer district of Hormozgan province were targeted by the United States.
The agency said on Friday that the US attack included bridges on the Bandar Abbas–Hameer–Lar, Kuhorstan–Lar, and Bandar Hameer–Keshar–Bandar Abbas axes, as well as the bridge in Maru village.
It confirmed that the attacks resulted in damage to all targeted bridges.
Days earlier, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran, saying: "The turn will come for power plants and bridges; if they do not sit at the negotiating table, we will disable all their power plants and bridges."
For his part, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abu al-Fadl Shekarji, said that Iran will target all infrastructure in the region if its infrastructure is attacked.
Iran responds to US attacks by targeting bases and sites used by US forces in the region.
