Cultural / "Islamic Affairs" Organizes Scientific Course to Qualify More than (120) Imams, Preachers and Muezzins in the Maldives
Male, 27 Muharram 1448 AH corresponding to July 12, 2026 SPA - The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Kingdom's Embassy in the Republic of India, and in coordination with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments of the Republic of Maldives, organized a foundational scientific course on the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah in the Maldivian capital Male, from 26 to 28 Muharram 1448 AH, with the participation of more than (120) imams, preachers, muezzins and students of knowledge of both genders, as part of the scientific and dawah programs implemented by the Ministry outside the Kingdom to spread Islamic knowledge, establish the approach of moderation and centrism, and promote tolerant Islamic values. The opening of the course was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Maldives, Yahya bin Hassan Al-Qahtani, the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments for Dawah Affairs, Sheikh Mutia Ismail, the Deputy Minister for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Haitham Mohamed, along with a number of officials from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments of the Republic of Maldives. The course covers a number of foundational topics in creed, most notably the oneness of Allah Almighty, belief in His names and attributes, reliance on Him, and belief in divine decree and destiny, which contributes to raising the scientific level of participants and enhancing their role in spreading the correct Sharia approach. This course is the sixth implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in the Republic of Maldives, and the first during the year 1448 AH, as part of the series of scientific courses and qualification programs organized by the Ministry in a number of countries around the world, confirming its mission in serving Islam and Muslims, spreading the values of moderation and centrism, and strengthening communication with Islamic communities. // End // 00:21 T ME 0001
