The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the genocide committed by Israel against Palestinians has risen to 73,283, in addition to 173,864 wounded, since October 8, 2023.

The ministry said in a statement on Monday that the total number of casualties brought to Gaza hospitals in the past 24 hours was "3 martyrs and 22 injuries".

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israel has killed 1,158 Palestinians and wounded 3,756 others, according to the statement.

The total casualty toll, according to the ministry, is "73,283 martyrs and 173,864 injuries".

The ministry stressed that "a number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them".

In addition to the victims, most of whom are women and children, Israel has destroyed 90% of the infrastructure, with the United Nations estimating the reconstruction cost at about $70 billion.

Israel also prevents the entry of agreed quantities of food, medicine, medical supplies, shelter materials, and prefabricated homes into Gaza, where about 2.4 million Palestinians, including 1.5 million displaced, live in catastrophic conditions.

In 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

The International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, is also hearing a case filed by South Africa, joined by many countries, accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

In 1948, Israel was established on lands occupied by armed Zionist gangs that committed massacres and caused the displacement of at least 750,000 Palestinians. Tel Aviv then occupied the rest of the Palestinian territories and refuses to withdraw.
