Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stressed that recent developments in the region have shown the rapid spread of tensions beyond the region and their impact on global security, energy markets, and economic growth, emphasizing that there is no alternative to diplomacy, and that military force alone does not guarantee lasting stability.

The Foreign Minister said, during the Gulf Research Forum, that the goal should not be limited to containing tensions, but rather addressing their roots, building trust, and establishing a stable regional system based on respect for sovereignty, non-interference, good neighborliness, freedom of navigation, and commitment to international law.

He added that violations of the principles of respect for sovereignty and non-interference must be met with accountability, stressing that policies of aggression and hegemony only lead to insecurity and are contrary to the stability and prosperity of the region.
